Sporties for Shorties

Registration: July 6th - September 2nd, 2023 (or until class is full)

Dates & Location: Thursday evenings from 5-6pm at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha. Sessions will be held either outside, the basketball court, or on the turf field, depending on sport. Class dates run from September 7th - October 12th.

Cost: $67 per child, and includes program t-shirt.

Ages: Boys & girls, ages 3-6.

The Program:

Sporties for Shorties is a fun, high energy class for kids ages 3-6. This class focuses on introducing kids to a variety of sports and helps them improve their motor skills in a noncompetitive way. Each week, athletes will learn the rules and basic skills for different sports through instruction and small games. Some examples of the sports we will be covering are: basketball, soccer, T-ball, volleyball (balloon), flag football, fitness, and rhythm and movement. Every week, community athletes from Kenosha’s local colleges and high schools will join to help support and mentor our littlest athletes during this class!

Please note: Children must be potty-trained to participate in Sporties for Shorties.

All refund requests must be submitted within two weeks of the season starting.

BGC Sports Coach Screening

Every BGC Sports head coach and assistant coach has been screened and has passed a required background check to work with youth sports teams. All coaches have concussion training and follow mandatory reporting protocol.
